Rustic Overtones close out Cooler in the Mountain concert series

Saturday, Sept. 3 at 3:30 p.m.—KILLINGTON—The Rustic Overtones will be in Killington to perform at the free Cooler in the Mountains concert series on Saturday, Sept. 3 beginning at 3:30 p.m. This show marks the final installment of the eight-week concert series presented by Long Trail Brewing.
The Rustic Overtones is a seven piece rock band from Portland, Maine. The band’s unique version of indie rock takes on elements of soul, garage punk, jazz and psychedelic music of the 60s and 70s. With a discography that spans over 20 years, the Rustic Overtones are by no means new to the scene. The Rustic Overtones have collaborated and recorded with top artists such as David Bowie, Imogen Heap, Ray Lamontagne, Eric Krasno, Funkmaster Flex, and Naughty by Nature, as songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, arrangers, and composers. The band has also toured nationally as direct support for De La Soul, Steel Pulse, and Run DMC among others.
Cooler in the Mountains concerts are free, family-friendly events that take place at Killington Resort’s Snowshed Adventure Center on the left hand side of Killington Road, Killington. Everyone in attendance will have a chance to win a 2016-2017 Killington season pass. Concert goers are encouraged to come early to enjoy the Snowshed Adventure Center, and enjoy dinner after the show at one of many great restaurants in Killington.
