Route 100 collision lands two locals in hospital

PITTSFIELD—On Saturday, July 25, at 1:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police and Pittsfield Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries on Route 100 in Pittsfield.

Gordon Gibbs, age 33, of Castleton, Vt., and Richard Wilson, age 84, of Randolph, Vt., were involved in the crash. Both were transported to medical centers for further evaluation: Gibbs to Rutland Regional Medical Center and Wilson to Gifford Medical Center. Both are believed to have minor or no injuries. Both were wearing their seatbelts, police reported.

The crash remains under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed or has information regarding this incident is asked to contact Trooper Erin Hodges at the Vermont State Police-Rutland Barracks, (802) 773-9101.
