Ripley Road bridge remains closed

Ripley Road in Rutland is closed at the location of the bridge. Access to all businesses on Ripley Road between Business Route 4 and the bridge will be maintained at all times.

Motorist, bicyclist and pedestrian traffic will not be permitted to cross the bridge. Follow signed detours. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in October 2016.

Water and Sewer: Crews are scheduled to continue working on water and sewer structures at the location and approach to the bridge.

Piles: Crews began driving test piles on April 6. Pile driving will take place throughout this week.

Abutment 1: Crews are scheduled to begin forming the back wall of the abutment throughout this week. Concrete pour is scheduled for next week.

Drivers are warned to exercise extreme caution, and obey traffic laws.
