RUTLAND — On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Rutland Economic Development Corporation (REDC), the Small Business Development Center and the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center moved to a collocation site at 67 Merchants Row in Rutland. The new REDC offices will join Castleton Downtown, which includes the Center for Entrepreneurship, Center for Community Engagement and Castleton Polling Institute.

Also, REDC is pleased to introduce Elizabeth Adams as the new procurement counselor for the Rutland and Bennington Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), which provides businesses with an understanding of the requirements of government contracting and the know-how to obtain and successfully perform federal, state, and local contracts.

Adams provides technical assistance with all components of the process including SAM registration, obtaining specifications and with registering for small business certification programs such as Woman Owned (WOSB) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO). She creates automated search profiles to help identify contracting opportunities specific to a client’s product or service.

Look for an upcoming free workshop entitled “Contracting 101 – Selling to the Government” on Feb. 16 at the REDC office in Rutland. To learn more about government contracting and the PTAC program, register at vtptac.ecenterdirect.com.
