R.A.S.T.A. hosts Vermont backcountry forum and movie premiere

Thursday, Nov 7, at 6 p.m.—ROCHESTER—The world premiere of “Leave Nice Tracks” comes to Pierce Hall in Rochester on Thursday, Nov. 7. The doors open at 6 p.m. with a potluck, vendors and bar. Bent Hill Brewery has provided some Backcountry Stash Ale in commemorative cans. Bring a potluck item to share, or a pot of your homemade chili for a chance to win a prize and the title of best backcountry chili.

The Catamount Trail Association will give updates on it and its six backcountry partners, and then the movie will show at 7:30 p.m. The evening will conclude with a raffle, including several pairs of skis. If you can’t make the event, but want a chance at winning a pair of custom Parlor Skis with RASTA graphics, you can purchase tickets online at rastavt.org.

All proceeds go towards more backcountry zones.
