Pierce Hall hosts antiques appraisal show

Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m. — ROCHESTER — Pierce Hall in Rochester will be the site of an antiques appraisal show on Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no admission charge. Items for appraisal will incur a fee of $5 each. For large items, photos will be accepted. Privacy and confidentiality will be honored; however, there will be a designated area for “show and tell.” No firearms, please!

Appraisers include Greg Hamilton, owner of Stone Block Antiques in Vergennes. Hamilton has experience in antiques since the 1980s, participating in dozens of shows around New England and New York throughout the year. He specializes in art, silver, antique fishing equipment, and general antiques.

Lori Scotnicki will also be on hand. She is the owner of Scotnicki Appraisals and specializes in furniture, paintings, silver, glass, china, and general antiques.

A third appraiser at the show will be Mike Wilson of Brandon, who has been buying and selling antiques for 45 years. Wilson has expertise in 20th century collectibles, books and ephemera, early glass and porcelain.

Lunch will be available for sale. Proceeds benefit the restoration of historic Pierce Hall located at 38 Main Street, Rochester, on Route 100 across from the Rochester Park.
