Pianist Jonathan Newell hosts concert at CSJ

Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. — RUTLAND — Pianist and composer Jonathan Newell is hosting a concert at College of St. Joseph on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Newell, a part-time instructor at CSJ, has been with the Adirondack Repertory Dance Theater since 1993. He gave his New York debut in 2009 at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, and opened the Hudson River Music Hall  in Hudson Falls in 2010.
Newell performs up to 150 times a year throughout the Northeastern U.S. as a pianist and pop guitarist and singer. He has released 12 recordings on the True to Life music label.

Newell will perform both original pieces, as well as others from greats including Frederic Chopin, Franz Shubert and Domenico Scarlatti.

The concert will be held in CSJ’s Tuttle Theater, and will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10. College of St. Joseph is located at 71 Clement Road, Rutland.
