FOREST DALE—Rev. Scott R. Carlson has accepted the pastorate of Living Water Assembly of God in Forest Dale. He will be moving with his his wife and son to Brandon and will begin pastoral duties officially Sunday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m.
The Northern New England District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Reverend Dennis Marguardt along with his wife Bevi Jo will be present for the first service. Rev. Marquardt said he is glad to be back in Vermont, as he and his wife pastored the Assembly of God Christian Center in Vergennes for over 20 years prior to accepting his leadership position in Portland, Maine overseeing all Assembly of God churches in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
There was a service to celebrate this occasion, an open house at the parsonage, which is in the process of being completed renovated, and a reception to follow, Sunday, Sept. 25. The church is located on North Main street in Forest Dale.
Carlson and his wife of 25 years, Tina L. Carlson, are natives of Nashua, N.H. They are the parents of three sons and a daughter.
Rev. Scott R. Carlson is a 1991 graduate of Faith School of Theology and holds a bachelors degree in theological studies, as well as a teaching certificate from the Evangelical Training Association.
Tina Carlson is a 1990 graduate of the University of Maine and is recently employed by Dr. Benjamin Lawton as a dental hygienist in Brandon.
Their ministry experience, as a couple, began in 1992 as associate pastors at New Beginning Assembly of God where they assisted in the pioneering of this inner- city church in Manchester N.H. They moved to Maine in 1995 and served Harvest Assembly of God both as an associate pastor and interim senior pastor until accepting the senior pastorate of Faith Assembly of God in Bethel, Vt., in 2001, where they served for over seven years. Afterwards the Carlsons moved to the Upper Valley, where Scott Carlson began service as Men’s Ministry Director at Lebanon Assembly of God.
Tina Carlson home-schooled the couple’s children for over 15 years, while serving as the OSAHA rep in previous dental offices.
“Tina, Peter and myself feel privileged to be called upon to serve this congregation and the wider Brandon community,” said Scott Carlson. “We believe, as a couple, that the Bible is not simply a historical document, but is a wonderful blueprint for everyday life and look forward to being a part of the Brandon community.”

Carlson, and son, Peter Carlson, who is a student at Rutland Area Christian School. Their other two sons and daughter Timothy, Rachael and Jonathan Carlson are working out of state in North Carolina, New Hampshire and at in college in Missouri respectively.
