Manchester welcomes in the holiday season

Saturday, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m.—MANCHESTER—The town of Manchester’s annual Manchester Merriment celebration kicked off this year on Saturday, Nov. 30 with the Community Tree Lighting Celebration and continues all month.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, Manchester’s annual Lighted Tractor Parade presented by Dorr Oil & Propane begins at 5:30pm. All are invited to watch tractors adorned in holiday lights as they make their way through Manchester spreading holiday cheer. This year’s route begins at Manchester Elementary Middle School and travels down School Street, Bonnet Street, around the 7A/30 roundabouts, and back along Main Street before turning on Memorial Avenue back towards the school. A judging and viewing stand will be setup in front of Factory Point Place on Main Street. Prizes will be awarded.

From 12-4 p.m. on Saturdays, December 7 & 14, visitors are invited to explore inns in the Arlington, Manchester, Dorset, Peru, and Bennington areas, learn about their histories, and mix and mingle with warm drinks and holiday treats at the annual Holiday Historic Inn Tours. Tickets can be purchased at participants’ first stop and are $15 per person or $25 per couple with all proceeds benefiting the food cupboards in Arlington and Manchester.
