Saturday, June 11 at 2:30 p.m. — RUTLAND — “Vermont Wild, Adventures of Fish & Game Wardens” author Megan Price will appear at the Rutland Free Library, Saturday, June 11 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. to sign and dedicate books for those wanting a memorable keepsake for their dad or favorite grad, or maybe fun camp stories to enjoy themselves.
A former reporter and state legislator, Price began by writing the humorous stories of retired warden Eric Nuse of Johnson. When the public clamored for more, Price expanded her reach to retired wardens statewide. The latest book features a charging bull moose on the cover and features stories from western Rutland County as well as the Northeast Kingdom. Stories of retired Chittenden-Rochester-Brandon wardens Stan Holmquist and Denny Gaiotti populate volume two. A Fair Haven native, Price has been called a folklore artist for her efforts in collecting and preserving the lawmen’s wackiest woods adventures in an entertaining way that resonates with all ages.
Her appearance at the Rutland Library offers a rare opportunity to learn details of the stories, ask questions and to have books dedicated to loved ones. The event is free. All ages are invited and books will be available to purchase. Rutland Free Library is located at 10 Court St., Rutland.
