Friday, April 8 at 12 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — Vermont Is On Our Minds, an art exhibit by Zack’s Place participants, will be on display from April 1 through May 14 at Norman Williams Public Library, 10 the Green, Woodstock. An artists’ reception will be held on April 8 at 12-noon. On display will be works of art created by Zack’s Place participants over several months’ time with student intern from WUHS, Bryan Kopf. All art is inspired by the beauty of the state of Vermont. These pieces of art are available as a package of greeting cards—15 cards for $20. Refreshments will be served at the reception.

Later that evening, enjoy an author reading with John Paul O’ Connor, poet, from his book “Half the Truth.” O’Connor’s poems have appeared in numerous literary journals: Sycamore Review, Baltimore Review, Columbia Journal of Arts and Literature, Indiana Review, Seneca Review and Silk Road, to name a few. His poems have been nominated twice for a Pushcart prize. His poetry collection “Half the Truth” won the 2015 Violet Reed Haas Prize for Poetry.
