Limbo Lounge brings world beat music to Main Street Park

Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.—RUTLAND—Limbo Lounge band, eight local musicians who have performed for two years running at Main Street Park, will be returning this year on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., this time as part of Rutland Recreation’s Seven to Sunset summer concert series. The show is free to all. Bring your own lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy the music under the setting sun.

Gary Meitrott Unlimited introduces Limbo Lounge band. Limbo Lounge is a newly formed group with members from the original Twice Baked Orchestra ,which was formed eight years ago and has a history of playing in the Rutland community. Limbo Lounge continues the traditions of West African, Brazilian, Caribbean, Jazz and Middle Eastern music. Songs are all original compositions except for one or two arrangements from influential musicians like Santana. The music inspires audiences by presenting styles of music and rhythm that will undoubtedly lift their spirits and bring a sense of joy.
