Monday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Killington’s annual KO’s Humane Holiday party to benefit the Rutland County Humane Society is set for Monday, Dec. 14 at JAX Food & Games in Killington. As is tradition, bar manager and animal lover Kevin Olaynack is hosting the event and will be collecting donations of non-perishable pet treats, toys and other supplies for the local agency. The agency is currently in need of blankets, bath sized towels and cat toys.

Area merchants have once again donated a slew of great prizes to be raffled throughout the evening, with all funds going to the Humane Society. Last year the event raised over $2,000 in cash and donations. Entertainment will be provided by Mihali (of Twiddle). The party takes place from 8 p.m. until closing.

KO’s Humane Holiday Party was started in 2009 when Kevin and his dog, Junior, first became best friends. The first event raised about $500, and has grown every year since. For more donation ideas and ways to support the Rutland County Humane Society, visit their website, www.rchsvt.org.

JAX is located midway on the Killington Road, next to Pickle Barrel. For more information, call 802-422-5334.
