King and Queen of the Mountain Vertical Challenge debuts at Killington

KILLINGTON — New this year, Basin Ski Shop will be running a season long competition to name the King and Queen of the Mountain. Running from the first day Killington opened to the public (Nov. 4) until the closing day party at Basin Ski Shop in late April, the competition measures the total vertical drop skied at Killington and Pico Resorts in a season.

The top group of male and female skiers and riders will be entered into a raffle at the end of the season for the grand prize. Some of the prizes include skis, season tune passes, complimentary boot fittings, and much more.

You do not have to be a local to participate— in fact “weekend warriors” are encouraged to vie for the title and since the number one skier is not guaranteed to win, your chances are just as good as others in the top group.

To play

Download the Trace Snow app to your smartphone (it’s free) and create an account. Next, follow the link below and join the group Basin Ski Shop King and Queen and you will be entered into the competition.
