Killington shifts into spring; hours of operation change

KILLINGTON — Just like that, March is in the rear-view and April is here with much of the mountain looking like it’s still mid-winter, especially Mount Superstar.

It’s impossible to predict what Mother Nature will bring during the spring but the Killington E-Team has decided extended operations are in order thanks to stellar weather. The spring operations plan is as follows:

Currently, key lifts will run until 5 p.m. on Saturdays only: Ramshead Express Quad, Skyeship Express Gondola Stage I & II, Snowdon Triple, Snowdon Poma.

Lodges open through April 12: Snowshed Base Lodge, Bear Mountain Base Lodge.

Lifts open through April 12: Snowshed Express Quad, Snowshed Learn to Magic Carpet, Northbrook Express Quad, Needle’s Eye Express Quad, Skye Peak Express Quad, Bear Mountain Quad (open Thursday 4/9 – Sunday 4/12), Sunrise Village Triple, Canyon Quad.

Open through April 19: Peak Lodge, K-1 Express Gondola, North Ridge Triple, Snowdon Quad; and terrain will be limited to intermediate and advanced trails only starting on April 13 — no beginner terrain will be available.

Open April 20 and later: K-1 Lodge, Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars and Superstar Express Quad open daily through May 3, weather and conditions permitting.

Beginning May 8, K-1 Lodge, Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars and Superstar Express Quad (running until 5 p.m.) will be open Friday-Sunday as long as conditions permit.

These schedules are subject to change; remember to check killington.com/conditions for all the latest news and operational updates.
