Killington Irish Festival celebrates all things Irish

March 13-14—KILLINGTON— On March 13-14, the Summit Lodge in Killington will offer a series of events blessed with the luck of the Irish. At O’Dwyer’s public house, you won’t stop dancing the jig with live music from 3:30 p.m. to close on Friday and 12 p.m. to close on Saturday. County Down and Fiddlewitch will be on hand to get your toes tapping. In addition, there will be giveaways from Guiness, Bailey’s, Crown Royal and Jameson.

The Brein School of Irish dance from County Kildare, Ireland, will be on stage in the Green Mountain Room. These fresh-from-Ireland performers are sure to put on  a must-see performance. Catch it three times, Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

For the 21 and up crowd, a Crown Royal ice bar and ice shot luge will be available outside on the winter patio. Bailey’s and Crown Royal will be on hand with giveaways and samples from 7-9 p.m. on Friday and 5-7 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be a custom pint printer in the pub on Saturday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

For the kids there will be shenangigans and leprechaun fun for all ages in the Green Mountain Room Saturday 12-6 p.m. Learn Celi (an Irish dance) for kids, get your face painted, craft some St. Bridget’s crosses, browse local craft vendors, and enjoy Irish dance performances. This is a free event.
