Killington Arts Guild opens new gallery show, “Vermont and Me”

Aug. 30 & 31 — KILLINGTON — The Killington Arts Guild’s is set for their new show, “Vermont and Me,” on display at the Gallery this fall. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, Aug. 31, from 4-5:30 p.m. “Vermont and Me,” and all members show, features artist Maurie Harrington, who will be on hand at the opening reception. Meet the artists, and enjoy refreshments. The reception is free, and open to the public.

“Vermont and Me” will be on display at the Gallery from Aug. 30 through Nov. 16. The Killington Arts Guild Gallery is located upstairs in Base Camp Outfitters/Cabin Fever, across from the base of Killington Road. On Monday, Sept. 1, the Killington Arts Guild will hold a program, “Painting with a Palette Knife” at Sherburne Memorial Library, from 6 – 8 p.m. Guild member Sally Curtis will present an interactive demonstration in the spirit of Morris Katz and his famous winning Guinness Book of Records strategy, “paint it fast, sell it cheap!” Come view a Morris Katz original and try your hand at painting with palette knives. The program is free, and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
