Friday, Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. — CASTLETON — The Castleton Downtown Gallery in Rutland will feature the works of local artist Judith Stone running from Sept. 23 through Oct. 24, with an artist reception scheduled for Friday, Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m.
Entitled “See Feelingly: Weigh and Balance” the exhibit will feature a variety of pieces.
“For three decades now, I’ve been addressing the gritty subject of construction sites, through the medium that best suits my needs, poured and rendered granite,” said Stone. “The slow, deliberate, strangely reptilian movement of the lumbering mechanical beasts, their seemingly inexorable power, have never lost their fascination for me.”
The Castleton Downtown Gallery is located on Center Street Alley in Rutland and is open Wednesday through Saturday with hours of operation from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
