‘JFK: The Last Speech’ streaming online, Nov. 19-22

Nov. 19-22—WOODSTOCK—Billings Farm & Museum’s 11th annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series features “JFK: The Last Speech”, available for online streaming.

Many stories have been told about President John F. Kennedy, but few are less known or more revealing than the story of his friendship with Robert Frost, America’s most celebrated poet.

“JFK: The Last Speech” takes us to Amherst College for President Kennedy’s celebrated speech about poetry and power. The documentary was produced by Amherst College alumni who attended JFK’s speech at their college, where the president paid tribute to Robert Frost and offered a passionate vision that juxtaposed power, poetry and the arts. No president has spoken more forcefully about the importance of the arts in a democratic society.
