RANDOLPH—State police and Vermont Fish & Wildlife jointly investigated several thefts and fish and game violations that occurred in the general Randolph/Braintree area over the last several months. Two stolen archery bows, components from other archery bows and a weed whacker have been recovered to date. An illegally taken deer was also seized.
James Lumbra, 28, of Randolph, was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, larceny, giving false information to law enforcement, and taking big game in closed season. Lumbra was also issued a ticket for hunting after the revocation of his hunting license. He was cited to appear in Orange Superior Court Dec. 3, 2014.
Justin Lemieux, 31, of Bethel, was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, providing false information to law enforcement, and taking big game in closed season. Lemieux was also issued tickets for shooting from a motor vehicle and hunting without a license. He was cited to appear in Orange Superior Court on Dec. 10, 2014. The case is still under investigation.
