CASTLETON — The Hubbardton Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual chicken barbecue on Saturday, Aug. 2 at Crystal Beach on Route 30 in Castleton. Each dinner includes half a chicken with homemade barbecue sauce, an ear of fresh local corn, and side of baked beans or salad, all for only $9.
Serving begins at 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., or until they run out. All funds raised help support the HVFD in its mission to protect Hubbardton and surrounding towns.
