Locals celebrate ‘surviving’ the pandemic hospitality season
Sunday, May 16 at 11 a.m. —KILLINGTON — Dream Maker Bakers and Killington Boot Camp Wellness Center have teamed up to create a fun day of games, music, food and drinks! Join in for a classic Killington event that is sure to be one for the books. The event will be socially distanced and outdoors with Covid protocols in place.
Events will take place throughout the day. A variety of games (individuals and teams welcome) will be held and winners will receive points. The top scoring teams will be entered in a final showdown to determine the winner.
The events will include relay races, a Stein holding contest as well as classic field-day games such as a tug-of-war and “potato sack” races.
Extra points will be given by judges for categories such as Best Sportsmanship, Best Dressed, Most Creative.
DJ Dave will be running the show as entertainer and game master.
Individuals and teams up to six people are encouraged to compete. Many prizes will be awarded. The competition will be “fun and fierce.”
All locals are encouraged to join in to “celebrate surviving the pandemic season and reward themselves with a day of fun.”
Registrations is $25/person. Participants must preregister. Each participant will receive unlimited food and one drink ticket with the registration fee.
Spectators and hecklers are strongly encouraged to attend. Gate fee is $20, which includes food and one drink. A cash bar will also be available.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Killington Elementary School to fund their preschool outdoor classroom engagement programs.
The event will be held outdoors at Dream Maker Bakers at 5501 Route 4, Killington from 11 a.m. -5 p.m. on Sunday, May 16. Please dress accordingly for the weather.
