Hannibal “Dee” DeLorenzo, 94

Hannibal DeLorenzo was born in Orange, New Jersey on May 2, 1926 and lived in Sparta, New Jersey until he passed on Dec. 21, 2020.  He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII.

Dee, as he was affectionately known, had four children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He lived with his partner, Ellie Brennan, for 43 years and they married on Nov. 20, 2019.

A longtime winter resident in Killington and Pittsfield, Dee skied with many of his longtime friends for some 40 years, until he was 90 years old.

He will be cremated and laid to rest in the veterans’ cemetery in Sparta, New Jersey.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
