Fundraiser set for local resident Bruce Oldenburg

Sunday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Friends of well-known local resident Bruce Oldenburg will host a benefit on Sunday, Feb. 8 from 3 –  8 p.m. at the Pickle Barrel Nightclub in Killington. A two-time cancer survivor, Mr. Oldenburg is now battling a rare form of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He has been undergoing chemotherapy since this past October, and will be receiving stem cell treatment in the coming months.

The Feb. 8 benefit will include complementary food, live music, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, caricature booth and more. Silent auction items include New England Patriots tickets, Red Sox tickets, a full year gym membership at Woodstock Recreation Center, ski and snowboard equipment, and more.

A resident of Bridgewater, Mr. Oldenburg has worked and lived in the area for over 25 years, including the last six years serving as maintenance supervisor at the Woodstock Recreation Center. Since his latest diagnosis, he has been unable to work. All proceeds raised during this event will go toward the family’s mounting expenses.

The Pickle Barrel is located midway on the Killington Road in Killington.
