Saturday, July 26 at 11 a.m. — KILLINGTON — The Foundry at Summit Pond hosts the Fly Dogs event for the second time this summer on Saturday, July 26. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., practice jumps begin at 10 a.m.; and two qualifier events take place at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dogs will compete in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, so all sizes and abilities are welcome. Those with the longest jumps in the qualifier events move onto the final round, beginning at 3 p.m. The top three jumps in each bracket will take home a ribbon.
The cost to participate is $20 per dog, per qualifier event (2 jumps); or $30 per dog, for both qualifier events (4 jumps).
Dog owners are requested to bring crates, water, throwing toys, baggies to curb your dog, and leashes. All dogs are to be crated or on four foot leashes when not jumping. All dog owners must complete the Foundry Fly Dogs waiver before jumping any dogs.
Spectators are welcome to line the pond, or the deck at the Foundry, for some high-flying action.
Additional Foundry Fly Dog Events are scheduled for Sept. 13 and Oct. 11.
The Foundry at Summit Pond is located at 63 Summit Path, on Killington Road in Killington.
