MELLOW YELLOW

Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — On Thursday, June 18, the second summer concert in the Fair Haven Concert series features Mellow Yellow. This band pays tribute to the 60s and 70s with truly authentic renditions of some of the genre’s greatest songs. While other tribute bands just play the music, Mellow Yellow goes the extra mile to capture all the hey-man-peace-and-love-grooviness of the songs that helped define a decade. With fanatic attention to detail, the members of Mellow Yellow do all they can to get inside the songs they perform. This attention to the essence of the music – as well as dazzling arrangements and outrageous costumes— results in not just a show, but a full-on, far-out experience of an era gone by.

Members of the band include: Brad DaddyO (David Cooper): cVocals, Mellowyellowtron; Dusty Love (Linda Bassick): vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, flute, trombone; Kenny Diggit (Ken French): Guitars, keyboards, vocals; Apollonius “Flip” Funk (Brad Sourdiffe): bass and Saratoga Sunshine (Sean Preece): drums.

Each week numerous door prizes are given to concert-goers, donated by local businesses, drawn during intermission. Prizes for both adults and children.

The concerts start at 7 p.m., but arrive any time after 4 p.m. to enjoy the park. Bring your lawn chairs. Popcorn, hot dogs, sodas and water are available for purchase.
