Fair Haven Concerned seeks volunteers

Sunday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — The Fair Haven Concerned Board of Directors is excited to announce a new Fall Fundraiser to help us meet the upcoming costs of the winter season. These costs include helping to provide heating to our neighbors who may be in need. In addition to helping with oil costs, we also help with the purchase of propane and heating pellets. A portion of the proceeds also helps us pay operating costs so we can continue our outreach to the communities of Fair Haven, Benson and West Haven. Fair Haven Concerned, as a recipient of United Way grants, also serves the Rutland County community through several programs including our community room.

Due to the pandemic, the Board thought it would be a great idea to hold an open-air event at the Kingston Place Barn in Benson. The event will feature dining and dance complete with live music from the Aaron Audet Band. The date is Sunday, Sept. 26 from 4-7 p.m. We will have a silent auction, cash bar, and the 50/50 raffle. The menu includes local fall favorites, chicken and biscuits and apple crisp from the Wheel Inn. The cost per person is $30. Tickets may be purchased at Fair Haven Concerned located at 49 Main Street, the Wheel Inn in Benson, and the People’s United Bank in Fair Haven. We are also looking for business and individual sponsors for this Fall Festival. For more information on Fair Haven Concerned and how you can help sponsor this event, please call the office at 802-265-3666.
