“Sunflowers and Apples” is an oil painting by Kathy Domenicucci, part of  “Colors of Summer” at BAG.

Friday, July 3 at 5 p.m. — BRANDON — Summer at the Brandon Artists Guild will focus on the fresh and vibrant work of two artists working in very different media. Althea Bilodeau creates contemporary feltwear, while Kathy Domenicucci has a focus on oil painting.

Althea Bilodeau, a third generation fiber artist, creates clothing and accessories using wool felt and woven silk, using her own interpretation of an ancient wet felting technique. Her fabrics have been used in the New York fashion business in collections by designer Chris Benz.

Kathy Domenicucci paints with a classic yet fresh quality. Her skillful control of light, color and composition with spontaneity results in exquisite rich works of art. Her inspiration comes from everyday life enjoyed in this beautiful state.

The exhibit entitled “Colors of Summer” features the works of both artists, and will be on showing every day from July 1 to Sept. 1, opening reception on July 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Brandon Artists Guild is located at 7 Center Street in Brandon. For more info, call 802-247-4956 or visit www.brandonartistsguild.org.
