“Thanksgiving Day” by Rosalind Daniels will be on display at Chaffee Art Center, part of the exhibit, “A Love of Art.”

Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m.—RUTLAND—The Chaffee Art Center announces the opening of its annual juried artist exhibit “A Love of Art” on Friday, Feb. 27 with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chaffee Art Center, 16 South Main Street, Rutland. The Chaffee Art Center is celebrating a year of love. All 10 exhibits in 2015 are themed around the overarching theme of love, including the annual juried exhibit.

The Chaffee’s juried artist members have each gone through the jury process of submitting a sample of work to be blind juried by the Chaffee Art Center’s Exhibition Committee, which consists of peer juried artist members. Artists are juried by medium, and artists who wish to exhibit more than one medium must be juried in by each.

“A Love of Art” will feature the rich diversity of juried artist members including photography, paint, pastels, sculpture, and fiber; still-life to figure, abstract to realism. It has been a longstanding tradition to host the annual juried artist exhibit to celebrate artists, their talents, and beauty of all art forms.

This exhibit will be hung in the historic Chaffee Art Center location at 16 South Main Street, Rutland and will be open from Feb. 27 to March 28, Thursdays and Fridays, 12 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 12 to 5 p.m.
