CEDRR appoints Olivia Lyons as communications and marketing manager

Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) announced Feb. 15 that it has hired Olivia Lyons as its new communications and marketing manager.

Olivia Lyons

Most recently, Lyons was a multimedia journalist and chief of the Rutland bureau for WCAX serving Rutland, Bennington and parts of Addison Counties. She attended Champlain College where she received a Bachelor of Science in broadcast media production.

In her new role at CEDRR, Lyons will oversee the Regional Marketing Initiative — Real Rutland — which was recently expanded with in-house efforts at CEDRR. In addition to overseeing Real Rutland, Lyons will also manage the day-to-day marketing and all communications efforts for CEDRR including press releases, social media, and regular newsletters.

“We are excited to welcome Olivia to the CEDRR team. Olivia’s skills will serve to be invaluable as we continue to grow our Regional Marketing to welcome new families into Rutland County as well as our overall organization,” said Lyle Jepson, executive director. “She has a passion for Rutland County which will serve as a key asset to our work at CEDRR.”

Lyons lives in Rutland where she is originally from and attended Rutland High School before continuing her education at Champlain College.
