“Building Your Own Reality” at Castleton University on Sept. 29

Thursday, Sept. 29 — CASTLETON — Castleton University professor of voice and and Barn Opera Brittenica founder Joshua Collier presents a lecture on developing your dream business and succeeding in the arts on Sept. 29 at 12:30 p.m. in Jeffords Auditorium at Castleton University.

Praised for his “thrilling high range” and “passionate commitment to character”, Collier was regarded as “a great Italian tenor on the make” by Boston’s Classical Scene in his June 2016 role debut as Romeo in “Romeo et Juliette.”

At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Collier and Barn Opera worked to establish the Social Distance Opera, which released full performances of operas as audio recordings over the course of six weeks. This project allowed performers worldwide to continue to share their art with audience members during a time when the majority of arts venues and programs were indefinitely stalled.

This lecture is free and open to the public. View online: castleton.meritpages.com/news/Building-Your-Own-Reality-at-Castleton-University-on-Sept-29/29537.
