Brownsville celebrates Christmas with a live nativity scene

Saturday, Dec. 14 at 3 p.m.—BROWNSVILLE—The community will have three opportunities to enjoy a narration of the Christmas story complete with Mary, Joseph, angels, wise men, shepherds and their sheep acting in and around the manger.  Choose from three pageant times — 3 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. in Tribute Park, adjacent to the church.  Before, after and in between pageants, there will be a display of crèches (nativity scenes) and refreshments inside in Fellowship Hall. The story will be interspersed with beautiful Christmas songs sung by pageant participants, members of the BCC Choir joined by the occasional bleating of live sheep.

These festivities are the last of a series of free-to-the-public events the Brownsville Community Church. Admission is free for all events. A free-will offering will be accepted at the church to help offset costs.

The Brownsville Community Church is located on the Brownsville-Hartland Road, between Albert Bridge School and the West Windsor Town Hall. For more information on the concert of Christmas music and carols, contact the Brownsville Community Church at bcchurchvt@gmail.com, 802-484-5944 or brownsvilleumc-vt.org.
