Tuesday, April 12 at 6 p.m. — RUTLAND — One organ and tissue donor can save up to eight lives and restore health to 50 others. Unfortunately, every day 21 people die waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. Join Rutland Regional Medical Center for an overview of organ and tissue donation and transplantation on Tuesday, April 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Franklin Conference Center at the Howe Center in Rutland.

Shaina Kaye from the Center for Donation & Transplant, N.Y. and Vt. and Kerry Ellis of RRMC’s Marrow Donor Program will be joined by Jim Grout of Westminster who will share a personal experience when his son became a donor.

The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required online at www.RRMC.org or 802-772-2400.
