ATM stolen from Belmont General Store

MOUNT HOLLY—On Tuesday, May 4 at 6 a.m. state police troopers from the Rutland barracks responded to the Belmont General Store, at 2400 Belmont Rd. in Mt. Holly, for a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, troopers found forced entry via a glass front door and a significant amount of damage to the interior of business. The ATM located inside the business was stolen during the crime. 

A dark-colored, newer model Toyota Tacoma was observed on video at the time of the burglary.

Troopers ask for the public’s assistance with determining who may have been responsible for this crime. The Toyota truck involved was subsequently reported stolen from Springfield Buick GMC on the same day. Anyone with information should call 802-773-9101.
