And the winner is…

KILLINGTON — The Jack Daniel’s Taste of Tennessee Ski Week came to a close on Sunday night, Feb. 22, at Outback Pizza in Killington with the awards ceremony. Awards (and bragging rights) were up for grabs in three categories, with incorporations of Jack Daniel’s required, including best drink, best dish, and most creative statue.

Winners:

Drink

First place – Heather Rice and Dave Fitelson from Wobbly Barn, with the “Single Barrel Shakedown” (That’s a back-to-back win for Wobbly, as they won in 2014 as well.)

Second place – Colin Byrne from Outback Pizza

Third place – John Decker from Moguls Sports Pub

Food

First place – Chef Jeremy Whitmore from Choices Restaurant and Rotisserie with  “Porky Mountain High”: stuffed pork chop with caramelized onions and apples made with Gentleman Jack, cornbread pudding with Honey Jack, roasted butternut squash and Brussels Sprouts with Gentleman Jack

Second place – Chef Dan Oakes from Liquid Art
Third place – Chef Pete Mittendorf from Lookout Tavern

Statue

Winner – Traci Templeton and Ed Sanborn of Outback Pizza and Killington Art Garage, with “Future Jack”
