Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. — PITTSFIELD — Meteorologist Mark Breen presents “The Puzzling, Promising, Peculiar…..Pluto Surprise” at the Roger Clark Memorial Library in Pittsfield on Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. Although once thought of as a frozen, silent, slumbering piece of ice, the planet Pluto stunned the scientific world with a tremendous variety of landscapes, materials, and perhaps one of the most active, changeable worlds in our solar system.
Mark Breen is the senior meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium, and for over 30 years he has been heard on Vermont Public Radio’s an “Eye on the Sky” each weekday morning, and “Eye on the Night Sky” in the afternoon. He is also the author of the award-winning children’s book, “The Kid’s Book of Weather Forecasting.”
Roger Clark Memorial Library is located at 40 Village Green, Pittsfield. RSVP to the event by visiting pittsfieldlibrary.com/programs or via the library’s Facebook page.
