Project 240 to broadcast back-to-back primary debates live in HD

Paramount Theatre, downtown Rutland, hosts events March 9-10

On Wed. and Thurs., March 9 and 10, the Paramount Theatre and Castleton University will host back-to-back broadcasts of the Democratic and the Republican primary debates as part of their 14-month series, Project 240: Celebrating the American Experience. Audience members will watch the debates live on the Paramount Theatre’s HD large-screen projection system.

Doors open both nights at 7:30 p.m., with pre-broadcast remarks and analysis and a town hall style Q&A period at 8 p.m., followed by the broadcasts at 9 p.m. Post-broadcast, the hosts will stay and engage with the audience about the evening’s activity.

Both events are free and open to the public. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase, supplied by Roots the Restaurant.

Project 240

Project 240 is the latest step in the ongoing collaboration between the Paramount Theatre and Castleton University.
