Cooler in the Mountains free concert series presents multi-genre artist, Will Hoge

Saturday, Aug. 23 at 3:30 p.m. — KILLINGTON — Will Hoge will perform a free concert at the Killington Resort’s K-1 Base Area on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 3:30 – 6 p.m. The free concert is part of the Town of Killington’s Cooler in the Mountains summer concert series, presented by Long Trail Brewing Co.

Since beginning his career in the late 90’s, singer/songwriter Will Hoge has been successful both in front of the mic and behind the scenes. Nine studio albums later, Hoge has found a new passion in country music. His hit “Strong” off his latest project “Never Give In” was used by Chevy in a recent national ad campaign. When he’s not performing, Hoge can be found writing some of the top country singles of the year. He received his first ever No. 1 record for the Eli Young Band’s “Even if it Breaks Your Heart,” a song he co-wrote with Eric Paslay that netted him a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song, along with CMA award and ACM award nominations. Hoge also wrote “Better Off Now (That You’re Gone)” for country trio Lady Antebellum’s No. 1 album “Golden.”

Cooler in the Mountains performances are scheduled every Saturday afternoon, through Aug. 30. The concerts are free and open to all ages, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn blankets and chairs to enjoy the scenic views. In addition to great music, the concerts feature specialty Long Trail beer tastings, lawn games and outdoor fun. Plus all in attendance will have the chance to win a 2014-2015 Killington Season Pass, which will be given away at the conclusion of the concert series. The next concert on Aug. 30 closes out the season with music by Live at the Fillmore, the tribute to the original Allman Brothers Band.
