Thursday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — Cold climate heat pumps are a hot topic among homeowners these days, and for good reason. The technology has improved vastly in recent years and its efficiency makes it an attractive heating and cooling option.
Join the HEAT Squad, Efficiency Vermont, and Green Mountain Power as they discuss how heat pumps can be a part of the approach to lowering energy bills. Learn how cold climate heat pumps work, the relative economics of using heat pumps versus other fuel sources, and types of heat pumps available. As part of the workshop, address the first steps toward making any home more energy efficient, how to significantly reduce costs by improving the insulation and air leakage. Available financing and incentives will be discussed.
Join the discussion on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Woodstock Town Hall Theatre, 31 The Green, Woodstock; and on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at Castleton University, Campus Center 1787 Rm, 62 Alumni Drive, Castleton.
