Two locals involved in side-swipe collision on Route 133

TINMOUTH — On Jan. 27, at approximately 1:28 p.m., members of the Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 133 in the area north of Vermont Route 140 in Tinmouth. Investigation determined that Brennan R. Howard, age 18 from Middletown Springs, was traveling northbound when he reached for a water bottle inside his vehicle. In doing so, his car crossed the center line and struck David E. Baker, age 74 from Wells, who was headed southbound. The two vehicles side-swiped while traveling in opposite directions causing severe damage to both vehicles on the front end and driver side quarter panels. Howard was driving a 2002 Honda Civic; Baker a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. Tinmouth Fire Department, Ira Fire Department, McLellans Towing, and Hop to It Towing assisted on scene.
