Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. — BENSON — On Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m., join the HEAT Squad and the Sisters of Mercy at their home located at Mercy Farm, 56 Howard Hill Rd in Benson for a weatherization open house! The sisters have generously opened their home to the community to spread the word about the positive impact people can have on personal savings, comfort in homes, and on the environment by having an energy audit and properly “buttoning up” homes and small businesses. Find out how much the sisters are saving on heating bills and take a peek at the upgrades they have made. Learn about financial incentives which can help you pay for energy conserving improvements. Ask questions and share concerns about your home with Jane Pappas, the AmeriCorps HEAT Squad Community Engagement Specialist. All are welcome, questions are encouraged, and light refreshments will be provided. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to hear about the energy upgrade experience from trusted community residents. For more info and directions, contact 802-797-8611 or jpappas@nwwvt.org.
