Fatal Crash and Road Closure on US 4 in Killington

This investigation is still on-going and the roadway will be closed for quite a few hours, late into the evening and potentially the early morning hours of 12/30/15.

This is a Fatal Crash investigation involving 7 occupants.  One vehicle is a Tractor Trailer Unit and the other is an SUV type vehicle.

There are three confirmed deceased occupants from this crash.  There is no other information to share as of this time, as the preliminary investigation continues.

Please avoid US 4 from the area of Pico Ski area in Mendon to US 4, west of the junction with Vt 100.

If you need to travel east to west, or west to east, we recommend US 7 south to Vt 103 onto Vt 100 in Ludlow, to complete the “circle” around this closed portion of US 4.

Thank you.

Lt. Chuck Cacciatore

Rutland Station Commander
