KILLINGTON — On Dec. 4, The Woods Homeowners Association officially announced that Michael Jenkins has been hired as the new general manager. Jenkins and his wife are moving to the area from Brooklyn, N.Y.

Jenkins’s most recent work experience was general manager/director of operations at La Marina in New York, a 95,000 square foot property servicing a 400-person restaurant, 1,200-person cocktail lounge, 3,000-person beach club, and 32-slip marina. Prior to that experience, Jenkins held management positions at high end restaurants in New York including The ‘21’ Club, Smith & Wollensky, and The River Café/The Water Club. Although changes will take some time, the Owners’ Association is eager to see new ideas come to fruition in the Terra Median building under Jenkins’ leadership.

Michael Jenkinss first day at The Woods was Nov. 16. Tony Hart, who is retiring, has graciously offered to stay on at The Woods for as long as necessary for a smooth transition.
