Brown’s Auto Salvage and partners give $19,000 to Wounded Warrior Project

Submitted

Mark and Joan Brown present a check to Wounded Warrior Project for $19,000. Accepting it on behalf of that organization this year were brothers and WWII veterans Sergeant George “Bud” Taggart and Corporal Frank Taggart.

BOMOSEEN — The employees of Brown’s Auto Salvage and Premium Recycled Parts North East support injured service members through the Wounded Warrior Project. Earlier this week, Team PRP NE presented the Wounded Warrior Project with a Christmas check for $19,000.

More than 50,000 servicemen and women have been injured in recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war, including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.  Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced a traumatic brain injury while on deployment.

To date, the WWP has served over 95,000 serviceperson’s and their families.

Team PRP North East is a network of 14 auto-recyclers who work together as partners to provide overnight service and top quality auto parts to body shops, mechanical repairers, and the general public.  Browns Auto Salvage, in Bomoseen, is the groups only partner in Vermont.
