A horse drawn sleigh has made for an iconic photo opportunity at a the Vermont Holiday Festival at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel in years past. This year, organizers are hoping for at least a dusting of snow to help set the appropriate scene.

The Vermont Holiday Festival, Toys For Tots and Festival of Trees highlight the holiday spirit

This weekend holiday spirits will be in full swing with two festivals of trees (in Killington and Rutland), a Toys For Tots fundraiser party and auction on the Paramount stage.

Beginning Friday Dec. 4 and continuing into Saturday, Dec. 5, the 11th annual Vermont Holiday Festival returns to Killington. This event features over 100 glittering trees, the magic of Santa’s Workshop, and a bustling schedule of activities and musical performances, all located at the Grand Ballroom at the Killington Grand Resort Hotel.

Also in Killington, Saturday, is Ted Arbo’s “Toys For Tots” benefit at the Foundry on Summit Pond. This year marks the 29th anniversary for this event. Guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy as a donation. The event also features a raffle and live auction with all proceeds going to local charity organizations.

Also on Saturday, the 13th annual Festival of Trees returns to Paramount stage in Rutland. Beginning at 6 p.m. the Paramount Theatre will host its annual benefit auction—the theatre’s largest fundraiser of the year. Auctioneer Bob Prozzo will present a huge selection of auction items including vacation getaways, sport ticket packages, gift certificates, home furnishings and more.
