In Killington over 350 registered “trotters” ran or walked in the fifth annual Turkey Trot. The event has grown exponentially since its first year in 2011, attracting many families before they sit down to the traditional feast.

Just east in Woodstock, the Turkey Trot has been a tradition now for nine years and this year a record 1,528 runners and walkers began the Zack’s Place Turkey Trot 5K. According to event organizers from Zack’s Place, a free enrichment center for special-needs people, this year’s event surpassed its goal of raising $50,000!
