Okemo celebrates opening day Tuesday, Nov. 24

LUDLOW — The first 125 skiers and riders on Tuesday, Nov. 24, received an opening day t-shirt at the lift. Okemo had over 125 guns blasting on Countdown, Upper and Lower World Cup, Lower Mountain Road, Link, Nor’easter, Sapphire and Jolly Green Giant earlier this week. The resort said it anticipates having top to bottom skiing on Countdown, Link and either Upper/Lower World Cup or Nor’easter open for skiers and riders Tuesday and thereafter for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Skiers and riders can access the terrain beginning at 9 a.m. via the F-10 Carpet and then the Sachem Quad. The Sunburst Six will also be spinning, giving guests access to the summit.  Okemo’s snowmaking team will continue to be very aggressive as long as temperatures allow.
