Car nearly misses brook after flipping off Route 4

KILLINGTON — On Saturday, Nov. 21, at 5:30 a.m. Rutland State Police were called to a report of a vehicle overturned in a brook off Route 4 at Mission Farm Road in the town of Killington. Upon arrival troopers met with local rescue agencies to determine that Jonathan Green, 53 of Melrose, Mass., had driven off the west side of the roadway into a guardrail, taking out seven posts, falling down an embankment, and coming to a complete stop, having overturned his 2012 Toyota FJ into the brook.

Mr. Green was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries and later released.  Mr. Green was screened at the hospital and provided a preliminary breath test which indicated a BAC of 0.178 percent approximately two hours after the accident was reported. Criminal action is pending the results of the requested blood analysis.
