RUTLAND — On Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, Heritage Family Credit Union teamed up with Northwest Elementary School in Rutland to deliver 6,500 items to the Salvation Army for the Stuff-A-Bus campaign.
Captain Credit Union and his honorary superheroes, the Northwest Primary students, helped deal a heavy blow to hunger as they swooped into the Price Chopper parking lot armed with school busses full of non-perishable food items to be donated to the 2015 annual Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive. In all, 6,500 non-perishable items were collected and made their way down to the food drive with Captain Credit Union leading the charge. In addition, a check totaling $1,500 was presented to Capt. Balcomb of the Salvation Army as part of Heritage Family Credit Union’s matching contribution efforts.
