Town of Killington makes plans for major repairs/reconstruction

Library

The Trustees reviewed the 2017 Library budget proposal, which will remain level with the 2015 budget, and their request for the Selectboard to place a question on the Town Meeting ballot for the town to authorize a loan of $150,000 to repair the roof of the library.

Pool/pool house reconstruction

The Board supported the Recreation Commission’s request to finalize and present voters a 10-year funding plan to reconstruct the town pool and recreation area. The Board will work on placing the question on March ballot for voters to establish a restricted fund for pool and other recreation upgrades.

Dean Hill crosswalk

The Board also unanimously approved authorizing paving capital funds to build a crosswalk at the intersection of Dean Hill and Killington Road this November.
